Default Wheel Spacer Longevity

Hello,

Do any of you know how long wheel spacers should last? I have 20mm H&Rs on the front and 25mm Ichiba v2's on the rear of my stock ap2v2s for the past 5 years (60k miles). After I installed them I never really checked up on them myself...I've had a few tire changes, Evasive serviced my car at 90k (at 115k now) and got many alignments and nobody has said anything about them but who knows if they checked at all. I searched online and didn't find a definitive answer. Are they still good? Should I replace them? I'm going to get my car serviced at 120k so if I replace them, I'll probably do it then. Thanks in advance.

should last as long as your wheels provided you keep the spacer torqued to the hub at the specified torque. you may want to put anti seize on the hub to keep the spacer from sticking. you will probably need a hammer or mallet to tap them off now that they have been on so long. i would not replace them unless you are having issue with them.

We will assume you mean the kind with built-in studs. As long as they are torqued up there shouldn't be any issue. Probably worth removing them and re-torquing just to keep them from seizing on the wheels/rotors/studs.

Bolts stretch when tightened. Re-torquing after a few miles is always a good idea. Once they're stretched they stop but new bolts (studs) should be checked.

Thanks for the responses! I never re-torqued them after the initial install and after 5 years/60k miles, it's probably seized by now. I'll have them re-torqued during my 120k service. I just realized I've had the car for over 5 years (time flies) and was wondering if I should worry about the spacers since it's been a while. I kinda don't want my wheels to fall off on the highway

Also yes, these are with built in studs and have the hubcentric ring.

I wish I would have known about putting anti-seize. Mine were stuck after year. When I got new rubber, America's Tire refused to re-install my wheels because I had spacers.

They needed a malet to get them off.
