Default Wheel upgrade

Hello,

I have a 2002 S2000 stock, I am very interested in upgrading my wheel size for the summer.

This is the wheels size I have in mind.

17x8+42
17x9+47
5x114.3

Please, if someone can help me out. If I decide to purchase this wheel, do I really have to deal with fender lip work and negative camber. I want to keep it as stock as possible without having to do all that stuff to the car.

Will it fit?

Thank you so much in advance.

At stock ride height and stock tire size, you'll have no problem. If you are lowered significantly and/or running crazy wide tires, then you'll rub a bit over large bumps.

Will have to roll the fenders if running proper size tires and a little negative camber. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Well guess it also depends on if you are lowered or not. If stock 4x4 height might not be a big issue lol.

That's the thing. I have not modified the car in anyway. Completely stock.

I'm not sure then. Your gonna want to lower it with aftermarket wheels though. Looks pretty funny at stock height with different wheels.

Well springs are easy to do. Or make the drive to North NJ to Jeff (Minitoyota) on the forums. He is the go to guy for the Metro s2ki people.

Springs or coilovers wouldn't be a crazy difficult thing to DIY. You can rent a spring compressor at autozone for free. Just get it aligned afterwards and you're good to go

Oh come on now... there is nothing wrong with running aftermarket wheels at stock height, especially if you keep the same size wheel.

Nothing "wrong" with it. Just looks pretty funny imo. Just personal preference though.
