When I bought my S2K nearly ten years ago, it had these large fancy chrome wheels. At the time, I thought I wanted to switch back to OEM and picked up some used AP1s. I didn’t realize it at the time but they must have been chromed by the dealer since this wasn’t a factory option. The wheels on the car kind of grew on me so I just stored the OEMs in the garage. I only drive around 1-2,000 miles a year so my tires have tons of tread left but I should probably get new tires for safety. Current wheels
The question is should I stick with the wheels on the car or use these chromed AP1 wheels? Thoughts?
FWIW and from what I can see, I like the wheels you currently have on the car. I switched from AP1 to AP2V1 wheels because I really don't like the look of the AP1 wheels.
Who cares what we think? Do you like the wheels on the car? If yes, leave them!
Personally they’re not to my taste but my tastes are irrelevant to your car and wheels you already own. I’m fairly sure most of the people on this site think my car looks bad (and ditto me their cars), but that will never influence what I do with it.
What he said. It’s your car. With how little you drive it it’s not like your burning through tires or anything that would make switching cheaper or anything.
