Default Wheels purchase

I'm contemplating getting rims for my car. Most likely 18"

I was looking at the CE28N Time Attack since I love those rims so much. Don't know why, they just look good to me.

But here is the criteria that I'm looking for:

1. Want to go fat on the rear with about 275" tire.
2. Would love to have some type of dish in the rear although I know it is impossible in this car unless I do a wide body kit
3. Light for some drag duty and street use yet sort of pleasing to the eye

I called just one place so far looking for these rims and this is the specs they have for the S
Front 7.5 +50
Rear 8.5 +52
And they said fitting a 275" tires on these wheels will rub.

Anybody have any specs that they know will fit for a specific type of wheels? ( I might like other wheels as well if it conforms to most of my criteria above )

Who has fit fat tires in the rear with 18" rims and what size were they?

My fenders are rolled by the way

i don't know what wheels you would look for but i do know that 8.5" rim is too thin for a 275 wide tire, so you might want to look into a 9.5 or 10" wide rim. you CAN run 275 on a 8.5 but it won't look or perform properly.

also, my 8.5 wide +54 offset rears rub with 255s .. so you'll need something higher like +58-65 to run 275s, and run negative camber in addition to your fenders being rolled.

i have -2.2 camber in the rear to clear my rubbing issues, no rolling of the fenders.

18" with 275 in the rear is too big...stick with 17"...especially if you want to track your car...

Actually, Is this image of the rim I posted teh same as the rims you have?
or maybe they look different than my pic because of the dish

Would love to get this dish but won't happen

Everyone else, thanks for your input
I should probably post this in the wheels forum section as suggested, forgot there was a section like that
(EDIT: thanks for moving the post Mods)

the dish looks nicer on a Z. i dont know about a S

my rears are 18x9.5+62 wrapped in 265's so 275's on a 8.5 seems way off.

your shop is telling you the "out of the book" fitment for the car.. and has no knowledge of what their able to do to fit the tires you want

you need someone like myself who can sit down and crunch the #'s rather than just read out of the book.
