Default Widened oem wheels

Has anyone ever had their ap1 or ap2 oem wheels widened? Is it possible and where could I get this done? Thanks for any input.

Was wanting to widen my ap1 wheels to 16x8.5 and 16x9.5.

Possible, but not all that easy. Why not at least start with AP2 wheels?

Have you looked into tires that fit a 16inch 9.5 inch wide wheel? Because there aren't any. Not that keep the oem diameter.
If you do this the other issue you will have is the back spacing. You will need a spacer so the inside of the wheel will fit.
Weldcraft with widen wheels but in this case I would just buy some aftermarket wheels due to the weight of the oem and the issue with the spacing it to make it fit right.

245/40 or 255/40 if he went with OEM AP2. I agree with you on just buying wider aftermarket wheels.

Sorry I was talking about him wanting to widen the 16 inch wheel. There are no tires for that.

You could do a 245 45 16, but choices are extremely limited outside of R-comps. Beyond that nothing keeps OEM diameter, 265 45 16 exists, but only in R-comps. Personally I would do as previously suggested and get aftermarket wheels.

Yeah I don't count r comps as choices because it would be insane for that to be your only tire choice and to run those all the time. So yeah 17's and then you could buy some rfp1's or other enkeis for the cost of widening them and the spacers.

I think someone was asking about it. S2000junky has widened RFP1's which may as well be an oem wheel at this point lol.
