17x10 fitment
Sup all...im trying to get some info b4 i order a set of rims..i want to run either a 275 or a 285 40 17 tire and rim for the rear....im looking at 17x9 and 17x10 rims according to the wheel fitment guide i should order the 17x10 +65?? If i order with that offset would i still need to do fender work? Does any1 on here have any pics of they're car with that exact fitment?...for the front i was thinking 17x8+55 using 235 40 17 tires

First of all, 285/40/17 and 275/40/17 are going to be VERY tall (27.1" & 25.7" respectively). An alternative that would actually make sense in regards to overall diameter is either 265/40/17 or 295/35/17. If you do 235/40/17 fronts, you're going to get a pretty staggered height as well between F & R.
17x10 +65 is a good size, but if you don't want any fender work at all I'd use the 265/40/17.

The people above gave good advice. Is there any reason you want such wide tires? Do you have additional power upgrades or anything?
Most people that track their car stick with the 17x9 and 255/40/17 because the tires are cheap (well, in comparison to wider tires, or 18"), and almost every tire is available in that size. Unfortunately they do not make a 275/35/17 ot 285/35/17. As mentioned, the 275/40/17 is a little bit tall, but people have managed to make it work.
Are you getting custom offset wheels (like CCW) made? I don't know of any other wheel maker that makes a high offset 17x10, other than the 6ULR wheel in 17x10 +72 that was discontinued. The next closest option is the SSR Type F or Type C in 17x9.5 +65, and 17x8.5 +58 up front. A 275/40/17 and 235/45/17 would be roughly the same height, although taller than stock.
Another option to consider is the 285/30/18 tire size...it is about the same height as stock. However, the 18" tires are about double the price, and you would probably have to have a custom offset wheel made because I don't know of any off the shelf wheels in 18x10 with high offset (except in the Porsche bolt pattern).

And its sits perfectso i figureif i can do the same with the power im making that would be great..would be even better if i can run a 17x10 rim
