17x9 +40 - Can I run ...
Rolled fenders and liner cut in the front. Can I run 17x9 + 40 with 255/40/17 tires without having to dip to -3.5 degrees in the front?
What's needed?

K Thanks... I'm reading people run Nt03+M 18x9.5 +40 concave with 225 on rolled fenders, figured a 9" at same +40 would be doable without major fender work on 255.
Tires are the highest point, so I guess have the most effect on fitment.

Im with junky. Lowered as much as you are, you'll need a flare in the front with that offset and a 255 tire...and still need -2.5 camber or more, which will require aftermarket ball joints. I'd look at something in the +45 range if I were you. Otherwise, only thing you'll be DomN8'ing is going to be a parking spot at your local car meet.

I run 17x9+45 with a 255/40 on the front and it's very very aggressive. I already cracked my stock rolled fenders. Another 5mm more would be so much worst. I don't see your setup fitting properly on stock rolled fenders.

These guys tried to put a 17x9+40 255/40 on and they failed so bad. There even made a video on YouTube. They had to murder and pull the fenders like crazy for the front to fit. They ended up geting downforce +30 fenders.
The Internet and stance/show guys will tell you that anything fits. But functually from a performance/track perspective many times they do not fit.
