Default 17x9 square-- the wheels are hitting brake lines?

Hi i'm trying to fit 17x9 +62 (245x17x40 all around) Tirerack C3 square and when i had them test fitted i was told they are rubbing the fender liner and hitting even suspension parts and the brake lines on the front. What to do?

What suspension? Where are they touching the liner?

From what I've read and heard from people running the wheels, you will rub the liner without enough camber and tab roll/liner trim if you are lowered and they can contact the suspension arms at full lock.

hmm you dont typically hear of that with 9+60s wheels. maybe needs a small (2 or 3mm) spacer?

perhaps what Fokker said is the true cause.

I think there can be issues with the OEM suspension and it touching. Same with to much camber and aftermarket suspension. We need more info on where it is touching and other details about the car.

I've only heard/read that about the C3s. Other similar spec wheels, Volk CE28 17x9 +63, I have not seen the same. Here's a video regarding rubbing in the front with a 1" drop:

The suspension contact may be due to differences in design/amount material used on the inside of the barrels. I haven't found a picture of the backside of the wheels to compare nor have I caught any of the locals that run them with the wheels off for me to look at.

I have Enkei PF01SS 17x9 +60 for events and they do not touch the suspension arms, though they will rub the fender/liners with 255s and lowered (They're half the reason I need to upgrade to coilovers sooner rather than later.)

I'm on Megan ez street coils, and they rub on the inner most area of the liner close to the suspension (at full lock). I am lowered there is maybe a little over 1in from the tire to the fender. I haven't gotten the wheels aligned yet, I read some previous threads and for some people as mentioned here a small 2-3mm spacer was needed. What worries me most are the brake lines and control arms rubbing.

Thanks you all for your input and time. (:

Have two sets of TRM C3 with CR springs. There is a little rubbing at full lock to the right but not to the left. Some rubbing on the liner under hard driving when the suspension is loaded up. But I'm at stock ride height. Make sure that no clip on wheel weights are used on the inside of those rims. One of the best upgrades I'll ever done to the S2K.

depending on ride height, etc, 17x9+62 can touch the control arm on tight turns.

My 17X10 +50's rub the UCA on full lock if the car is lifted off the ground. His wheels have 0.7mm less inside barrel than mine (virtually the same inside fitment).

Nothing rubs when the car is on the ground. Have you tried putting the car on the ground yet?

when we did the test fit, the car was on the ground and I rotated it full left and right till lock, it still rubbed.
