275/40 tires on stock ap2 wheels???
I've heard it can be done, but can someone post some pictures? I'm trying to get a mental image but I cannot.
And I apologise if this was already covered, I didn't see it when I searched.
Thanks

I believe you need a 10.5" rim for that tire, some have widened their rims to fit this size tire though.

Certainly but not inexpensive and will need a second set of wheels. I would not recommend this at all, just buy aftermarket wheels but read as much as you can in the link here--->https://www.s2ki.com/forums/wheels-t...-guide-342793/

You can see 265/40-17 don't look bad and they fit the stock wheels

I don't know about a 275 but you could look for a "skinny" 275, not all tires are the same size even though they all will say 275/40-17 some will be wider than others.

I've read in the R&C section that guys have fitted their OEM wheels with 255/275 tires. They do it for classification purposes though, but it can be done.

Get tire diameters too unbalanced have the potential to screw up VSA in the late cars and maybe anti-lock brakes.
Bridgestone S-04 tires in OEM staggered sizes show 845 and 843 revolutions per mile, a perfect match. Going to a 255 rear tire ("CR spec") reduces the rear to 832 revs/mile but hasn't upset my VSA so there's some leeway. Couldn't find any data on anything bigger nor do I know the tolerances of the systems.
