Default Azenies!

Hey guys, i am about to purchase my SP1's, n i was wondering what do you guys think of the New Azenies i belive the RT 615? Is it better than the older model in the rain? i really lke the designe of em tahts why. If not, what should i get so2? so3? es100? i want good traction/hadnling tires, n good rain tires cuz the s02's gave me really big problems this winter...i spun out and did a 900 in teh freeway and i dono how i didn't hit the cones, divider or cars, thank God!

These tires look pretty good to me, but the tread doesn't seem to have much hydroplane resistance - maybe better than stock rear S02's. If you live 'up north' I wouldn't consider these cold day tires.

If rain performance is your goal, most people swear by the S03's. I had 2 sets of ES100's that performed great even when the tread was almost gone.

Agree w/ Aggie, if you want/need rain performance, S03s would be a great choice as they also provide great dry grip. I've had ES100s on other cars and they were great in wet and dry, but not nearly as grippy as S03s in dry.

how long do you ugys think the thread will last on the azenies? the new ones? with pretty normal a lil hard driving? I live in S. Cali and this last winter we had a SHIIIIIIIIIIIT load of rain for the first time in 5 years we were in a huge drought. So i dont think it'll be like this year this coming winter so I think i should be fine.

I just drove in brutal downpours and temps around 45 degrees on ES100, for about 200 miles.

No problems whatsoever, not even a hint of hydroplane from what I could feel. This was at freeway speeds and lots of standing water.

I'm in socal too (we should meet up). Yeah, the rain was crazy! I can't say how long they'll last as I haven't had experience w/ the new 615s. The only experience I have w/ azenis are the old ones and those were on an FF car (and they don't wear tires nearly as quickly as our s2k).

you mena the cars(the FF) car doesn't wear the tires out too fast? i was thinking if not the new ones, i MIGHT get the older ones in 225 and 245 but those tires aren't good in the rain. Plus rather spend an extra 140 and get the NEW ones.
