Default Best bang for the buck tire?

I have 2 sets of 205/225 kumho supra712's 1500 miles, bought them for a spare set of rims, and Fuzion zri's bout 15k miles both incorrect size's. I feel no problem in the front when track daying but the rear scares me. Opinion's for just increasing the rear to 245's? Or stop being a cheapo and buy a set of four r's for track days.

Are you new to tracking? It is probably better to learn the capability of the car on street tires...r-compounds hide mistakes and often do not communicate well as street tires when they are at the edge.

Definitely get the right size for the rear regardless for both street and track.

I've had Kumho 712's and Yokohama AVS ES 100's.. and Nitto 555's. Best bang for the buck so far are the BFG G-force Sports in my book.

In my experience, Fuzion Zri tends to run a little small. The 225 seems closer to a 215.

Their target market for these tires are definetely a younger crowd and in order to keep the price down, it seems they have pushed the limits of their sizing.

IMO the Fuzions are not anywhere close to a 'best' of anything. I have been running 17" wheels for 6 years, so I don't really know what is out there for 16", sorry.

I would actually go with the Kumho MX. In the 16" you would need to run the 205/55R16 and 225/50R16. They just don't make a 245/45R16. The advantage of the MX is all out handling in the dry. In a test that was done here by Eurtuner magazine they were rated number 1 on the skid pad in the dry.
If I can help let me know.

I need 4 new tires for my 05 S2K and was told that you are the man to see. I want something a little wider than stock on the rear but with a really good tread wear rating. I like to get the car sideways but want something with excellent grip (I know contradiction). Can you help me out or give me some opinions as to what you think I need.

Thanks,
BearNVa
