I know Re71s were just as fast as my Maxxis RC1's and they were faster then R888 so i'm kinda with you.

The RE71r's are basically a cheater tire in that they are basically an Rcomp that sits one category below Rcomp tires. If this setup is purely track they are a good choice. There is the new R888r which i haven't seen much about. I am guessing english isn't your first language since you are answering questions being asked. You still haven't really given a budget for this and that makes a big difference. So I will just echo the RPF1 17x9 +45 all around with 255/40/17 tires. RE71R's, AD08R, RS3, are all good tire choices and there are others. Since this is "track only" and by that I mean you aren't even driving the car to the track on these tires you could run Hoosier A7's (or R7's I can't really see the difference) which are a true racing slick.

I meant the r888r lol. It's the same as re71r as in a sense it's almost an r com. I used the re71r but after reading that they r cheat tires I never used them again. I like to race with street tires for now. More fun and u can tell others u wer only on street tire. The advan tire is really good too. U could also use the toyo RA1 on street but it's an r com. Rs4 still needs to be realsed lol. But if I'd have a guess it would be similar to the rs3 but hopefully with more grip as they freshened up the compound material.

Track only, best, no reason to consider street tires. Hoosier A7, BFG R1S are likely to be "best" for limited stints, Hoosier R7 and BFG R1 better for longer stints and longevity (number of heat cycles).

See NASA 2017 tire points for time trials to get a good idea of relative performance of different tires including some street tires. p. 30 here https://nasa-assets.s3.amazonaws.com...--12-27-16.pdf

The Hoosier slick is just wow. I like the toyo rr too or the maxxis slick.

What would you define an "extreme summer" tire that people consistently report puts down equal but usually quicker first handful of laps over the higher R comp choices currently available? Alternative facts tire?

All tires evolve. R888 and NT01 tires are pretty old now. It's only a matter of time before another tire becomes faster.

Btw I used the re71r years ago almost when they realese led them. Maybe from that point on they became OP. The r888r iv used for 1 session and they stick. But I wanted more time with. Didnt beat my Best But the tire felt great. After half a lap of warming up it hooked good. Kinda wished it stuck more under breaking but I guess my pads are too strong and Ima heavy breaker.
