Default Federal RS-RR?

Has anyone tried out the new Federal RS-RR's?
Thinking of purchasing these as they seem like a real budget tyre ($160AUD for 255/40/17)
Haven't found much reviews on these tyres on the net yet.

Thanks S2ki

Probably not relevant but I saw them on a s2000 at global time attack... It had crashed...

This made me LOL. Glad I went with Maxxis instead of Federal so Tony didn't had crashed. To be honest the owner of the crashed S2000 did kind of imply that he blamed the Federals. Federal is the sole tire sponsor of Global Time Attack. I have heard from a few buddies that they do work. I would never run them personally. They are hard to find and cheap are the two things I will say about them.

http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo...rr-review.html not an S2000, but i think it's relevant considering he was running the Hankook RS3's which is very popular in our community.

It's also a 140TW tire, so they don't really compete at the same level as the RS3v2s.

I feel like this is suited better for the Wheels and Tires section of the forum....

I have 595rs-r's. I am not sure how different they are, I might try rs-rr's out for my next set since my rs-r's are about to go bald soon.
I would also like to hear if someone tried them.
Rs-r's are dirt cheap and they grip OK. There is no other tire to compare in the same price range.

Federal seem to rate their TW numbers a lot lower.
I also run 595 RS-R and they got the same low threadwear at 140, but grip wise compared to other makes it could easily been at 200 instead.

Quick Reply: Federal RS-RR?
