Enkei PF01 17x8 +50 front with PF01-SS 17x9 +60 rear is a good fitment.
Also 949Racing 6UL 17x8 +48 and 17x9 +55 could be options for you.

You should just leave the car stock & do a lot (and I mean A TON) of reading until you figure out sizing.

Just get some good stock sized tires for your stock wheels. Burn through them this year. Think on it over the winter. You will save your self a lot of money futzing around looking for the right solution when you really don't yet know the car well enough to know what you will end up wanting. The other alternative would be to pick up some ap2 wheels. If they are in good shape they are pretty easy to sell. So, if you change your mind down the road you won't lose too much. Maybe just the shipping.

Absolutely. You can't go wrong with any of the OEM AP2 wheels if you want a stock fitment. They are a nice upgrade from AP1 wheels and can usually be found for a reasonable price. I'm not sure if you are stock height, but I think they look better than almost any aftermarket wheel in that situation.

If you spend a few month watching the various forums and ebay and craigslist you are likely to find what you are looking for but it does sometimes take a bit of patience. There is a very recent thread about a replica oem 17" wheels that one member has researched and he seems happy with it. That is an option as well. That is, if you have your heart set on 17" wheels.
