The same will happen with paint of coarse but it’s easier to touch up the paint.

Just picked mine up from being refinished. They were THRASHED! Beyond astonished and shocked at how good they came out.

These things take the factory AP1 center caps, right?

Looking good. Not sure about the caps. Mine came with caps and I had them repainted with the wheels to match and then put on an "H" sticker which worked well.

Tell me, where did you have yours painted? Can you share the cost? Or PM me with the cost? I have a second set that I may have refinished.

What color did you use? Code?

Also, if you could post a closer up pic showing the finish and color of part of one wheel that would be great.

I used a place called Alloy Wheel Repair. I know, very original name lol. I'll get all the details.

There are a few other very good options of course.
Any updates on the S02s? I kind of want to run a pair for a "period correct" look.

My 03 S2k had a set on it when I bought it. They fronts are old and while there is tread the compound is hard and they are toast in my opinion. The rears are good. But, I honestly don't want to spend the money to get new fronts. There are better tires to be had. So, as I press that car into service, the S-02s are coming off.

Nice! Wheel caps are not aligned correctly though.

Mine are still stacked in the garage too, pending refurbishment. Too much else going on.
