These tires won't last 30k miles on the back of an S2000. I have no idea how they can make this promise.

On a typical treadwear warranty claim, you have to show records of tire rotations done - so this usually automatically knocks those running staggered fitments out of the running. I haven't looking into what the warranty requirements are for the super sports but I'm better there is something in there.

30k warranty would be nice, i would've picked them up over star specs.

from tire racks website

Treadlife warranty
6 Years / 30,000 Miles
Half mileage for rear if different size than front

BTW , I got 24000 out of the PS2's with Non Staggered wheel rotating them every 3000 miles. 1 FAST event when the tires where pretty new.

This is one thing I don't get about tire rack. So the PSS have a dry traction rating of 9.7, the star specs are at 9.4 and hell the Yoko A048s (r-comps) are only given 9.3

Now the tread wear rating for these tires are 300,200, and 60 respectively.

My question is, is TR suggesting that the PSSs are more grippy than the star specs and even the A048s?!

Those ratings are within the tire's specified tire segment - (Extreme Performance Summer, Max Performance Summer, Ultra High Performance Summer, etc), so no, TR is not suggesting that the PSS have more dry traction than the Star Spec or the A048s
