Have you been able to confirm where you are rubbing? Sometimes people actually rub on the frame rail side of the fender liner.

Hi, apologies for the very late reply. I've been busy lately.
I did see tire marks on the inner fender, and also see tire marks on the area right next to the fender lip. I now rub when I hit bumps and when I brake. Could it be the suspension bushings? |
Update: I pulled my fenders a bit and it still rubs. I also now rub under braking and on some bumps. In addition to that, I now hear a clunking/knocking noise occasionally when I steer. Any clue what went wrong?
I also looked under my fender, and saw tire marks at the frame rail (inner), and the area right next to where the fender lip is supposed to be (outer). |
my only guess is that your front subframe has shifted, but even then that must have been a massive shift. Have you cehcekd your subframe bolts? Can you share some pics of your setup and areas that are rubbing? You should not be rubbing anywhere especially with such a conservative setup. What wheels are you using? Advan rgd? I have a very similar sized wheel up front with wider tires and have no rubbing even with a 260lbs passenger on an autox course...fenders are not rolled.

That is a thing I have not checked out yet! Thanks, I'll go check it out! |
How do you know the wheel offsets? Did you measure them?
|
I bought them

They are marketed as +54. Also, I wouldn't think offset is a problem. The other side's fender is not rolled, and yet the other side doesn't rub.

Maybe the dealer or body shop will let you take a picture of the pages (the phone cameras these days are higher resolutions than typical scanners). Or maybe a body shop will check it for a modest price. A quick measurement would be from the 4 suspension mounting points to a point on the fender and compare left and right sides. That will require removing the wheel and tire. |
