Default Need comments on the Bridgestone RE750

Since I am limited to choices and tire rack is the only place to have a matching set of tires I am considering the Bridgestone RE750. Anyone have experience with them?

Yes I know the correct tire size is 205/55/16 front & 245/45/16 rear.

They were decent in 17", significantly less grip than RE050's or S02's with not all that much better treadwear, good in the wet, they did seem to transition pretty gently at loss of traction, that's what I liked most about them. I wouldn't buy them again though. Aren't the RE01's out in 16" fitment?
Good Luck, Mike

Signifigantly less grip than S02's or S03's in the dry. Good wet weather traction at fulltread depth, and 1/2 worn. Wet and dry traction both fall off when the get worn. They do last 2x the S02's though.

I have about 16K on mine and the rears are approaching the end of their life. They grip quite well in the wet and are significantly less grippy than S-02s in the dry. For what they are, a 340 treadwear tire, I've been pretty impressed with them. I haven't decided what they'll be replaced with, but this tire will be in consideration again.

Working from memory here. I ran the RE750's on my MY02, and like the others, I found them to be more grippy and predictable than the S02's in the wet, and less grippy in the dry. Also, overall tread life was better, although I don't think I got quite twice the life out of them compared to the S02's... at least at the rear.

They seemed (to my ears) a bit noisier than the S02's at some speeds, but not objectionably so.

I felt they were a good compromise if you are looking for better tire life and wet grip, and the trade-off in loss of comparative dry grip was acceptable for normal street driving. Bear in mind that on OEM 16" wheels, the the S02's are fairly close to as good as you will get for ultimate dry grip on street tires. But as we all know, the "sweet spot" of these tires is relatively narrow in terms of tread life and weather conditions. The RE750's will give you a broader band of strong performance when considering these parameters, but at a lower ultimate level compared to S02's.

Well, my girlfriend just called me and told me that the tires just arrived. So, I will be reporting my experience w/ them in the next couple of weeks.
