After checking out their review, id hold out judgment. All indications show these may indeed be a step up from the original, geared more towards dry adhesion in tread design? They have been on the Jap market for some time now and they seem to be raving about them.

Toyo R1Rs get my vote. PM conzetts2k, he has a 512whp AP1 and uses these tires and loves them. Per 3rd party tests, the R1Rs are better than the SS in the rain even.
