Hey Jim@tirerack.com

I need to get a new set of tires, S03's, what are recommended sizes for the stock wheel?

I just had the S-03's mounted on my car in 245/45/16 and they fit perfect. It mimicks the width of the OEM S-02's and it has a lip protector should you drive a bit too close to the curb. The overall demeanor of the car appears to be pretty much the same as it was with the stock S-02's when they were new.

I would recommend the 205/55R16 front and 245/45R16 in the rear. These sizes will keep you close to the OE tire sizes.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

IMO this has been blown way out of proportion. Quite simply, each tire manufacturer that I have ever looked into publishes the contact patch in inches. If you go to tirerack.com and look at the "spes" for each tire you will find the published contact patch. Just make sure that it compares with the specs for the S02 w-rated tire "specs". Very simple.

And Russ, you're not helping here. That percentage stuff is crap. It does not compare the Nitto to the S-02 w-rated which is what we are trying to get at here...so stop.

You need to check yourself because if you read my posts you would see that I posted links to websites WITH contact patch measurements.

What in the hell are you talking about? Here is a direct quote from "the sponsor of this forum" jim@tirerack.

"I would recommend the 205/55R16 front and 245/45R16 in the rear. These sizes will keep you close to the OE tire sizes."

That is the reason people have quit responding to you.
