Okay boys, it's new tire time - suggestions please
I have been doing research on which tires to get for the past week...and as I've found (along with other people here) it's a hard choice! Of course it's not hard for some of you who can just put the best tires back on...the SO2s, but I need something more economical and with better treadwear.
I just thought I had come to the conclusion to get Yoko AVS Sports...but now I am having doubts They are still kinda more than I want to spend... So, please tell me your opinion of the AVS Sport if you have them; what kind of driving do you do, how have they been wearing, etc. I enjoy driving aggressively, but also want a good everyday tire.
Here are some other tires I have looked at and considered:
- Yoko ES 100 (heard they weren't very good for handling)
- Bridgestone RE750 (read that they don't have all the latest Bridgeston tech like UNI-T AQ, etc)
The ES100 and the RE750 are cheaper than the AVS Sport, and I know the Sport is a class above these other two tires, but will they really be that much different? If you have any of these tires please post and give me a peice of your mind! Thanks

I used to have the AVS sports on a Honda Accord several years ago. Though I didnt drive the car that hard (because it was not fast at all, 4cyl non v-tec) the tires wore out very quickly. I never spun out or drove over aggressively and they still wore out quick. The traction seemed excellent though. I could not spin the tires from a dead stop. I cant comment on the traction too much since it was a while back and I was new to the whole tire buying deal since the accord was my first car.
I have some 18in. SSR Competitions on the way and I plan on putting the ES 100's on there soon after I get the wheels. But I dont track the car, just drive spiritedly on occasion.
Go to tirerack. com or discounttiredirect.com and check the treadwear rating on the AVS sports.
