If you put those tires (205/55/16) up front in your AP1 then you are OK, but it is best to have matching tires front and rear. The RE 960s are not nearly as grippy as the OEM rubber, so you may wind up with understeer. If the rear tires are old and worn out, the steering may actually be balanced.

What tires are you planning to put in back? Usually, I replace 2 sets of rears for every front, so you'll be mounting new rears before the fronts wear out.

It is best to have matching tires front and rear. In order to maximize balance, either buy matching RE 960 tires for the rear, or replace the new RE 960s with OEM SO2s.

Also, note that the correct rear tire size for aftermarket tires is 245/45/16. The OEM Potenza SO2 tires are labeled 225/50/16, but have a much wider tread width than you would expect.

Some owners report successful mixing of tire types and even brands, but I do not recommend it.
