Default IN PREP FOR NEW SETUP, some ?'s

Hey everyone,

Recently ive been researching whats required for a good setup with wheels, blah blah blah... so this is where im at. I need some input on a couple things, and all comments welcome.

So within the next few weeks i will be rolling my fenders. Ive done alot of looking and ive read conflicting sides about rolling the front fenders

Has anyone rolled the front fenders?? could someone give me good advice on how to properly do this.

I am going to be running 17x7 +40 front. I figured i would roll the fenders just incase and for peace in mind.

In the back i am running a 17x9.5. My question is what is a good offset to compliment the front wheels?

(I KNOW people will tell me these are horrible offset and all that, but im doing this to set my car apart from the standard setup. so PLEASE help, not hinder)

Tires im looking at running 205/40/17 FRONT and still undecided for the back.

ALL ADVICE WELCOME!!!

215/45 is a better size for the front and I don't think a fender roll will be necessary with a narrow tire like that. A 7" +40 is like running a stock wheel with a 15mm spacer, should be no problem at all.

What wheels are you looking at? That will help us pick out a rear offset for you.

Nice wheels. Is there some reason you want a 7" +40 front? You could easily get a 8" front and run a +53 which would sit in the fender about the same but give you more width. FYI, a 9.5" +63 rear would sit out 15mm compared to stock, same as a 7" +40 front.

I actually bought a set of wheels for a good price and i couldnt let it go.
So i bought all 4 wheels, Im only going to be running 2 on the front and decided to get some identical wheels for the back with a lip.

Thanks alot for the offset! so the +63 in the back would be pretty close to what the fronts are expected to look like?

thanks

That offset would be best with minimal rubbing if any. I would look at the 255/40R17 for the rear with the 215/45R17 on the front.
If I can help with the tires let me know.
