question about tire widening

Default question about tire widening

18x8.5 / 5x114.3 / +40


if i widen this rim to 18x10 what is the off set going to turn into ?

Assuming it will be widened by cutting the barrel behind the face and welding a new one, it would end up 18x10 +59
if you are widening a 3 piece wheel, you could mix or get custom pieces of specific lip length and barrel lengths to get whatever offset you desire.

The rim will become a 18x10+59. Assuming this will be going on a stock body s2000 for the rear. I would widen at lest another 1/2 inch making the rim a 18x10+65 and I would run a 295/30/18 tire. I personally run a 17x11.5 widen rpf1.

You mean a 10.5" +65.

- OP, IF thats for the rear its good for a 285/30. But will still need to roll the fenders. If for the front you will need wider fenders. 10" +59/255 tire would be a good front choice on roll front fenders with a little pull.
