NSX I mentioned.
NSX I mentioned.
Sounds kind of expensive LOL
This is why I mentioned not liking the wheels, not so much because they are gold but because they don’t fit the theme or statement of the rest of the car, even though wheels themselves if left normal finish, would. I’ve seen plenty of the standard mat gold Advans on NSX and s2k snd they look good, but these clearly say look at me im really just a hard parker. Oh well.

Replacing stock studs are a pain in the ass so just get spacers that have the studs in them already and leave oem alone. Id be nervous running longer studs anyway with the amount of forces applied. Just fyi, anything over 6mm you will need studs with. But if your into doing the typical fender modification, you can run about 25mm, which means at minimum adding 2" to the inside.

Right. I meant intergrated studs or whatever they are called. I will post up some pics if I decide to do this. Thanks for all the help. I would be totally lost if it wasn't for some of the people on this forum.

Just thought I would mention because some have taken the other rout of replacing the factory studs, so wanted to make sure you new there was a better option.

There is value in doing something different.
Also kind of expensive doesn't even cover it. The mugen wheels are already very expensive then you factor in the SSR barrels wheich are not cheap either. Then the machine and welding work that had to happen to cut the mugen wheel face out of the old wheel and into the new one. Finally having them 24k plated is a very pricey process and not one many placed can or will do for a 1 piece wheel.
I don't think a track day would be hard on the wheels at all. Gold is very good at dispersing heat and I am sure he has not problems paying to polish them to keep them looking good. Not to mention it would be pretty easy to have a set of track wheels and a set of show wheels which is what I would do if I had what I have to assume is over 10k in just the wheels.
