Recommended Tires for DD

Hey all,

I recently purchased another set of ap2 wheels for my s, i wrapped them in my favorite high performance sport tires for AutoX and maybe track use as well as spirited mountain drives; toyo proxies. My question is what do yall suggest for the other set of wheels to be strictly Daily Drivers as the S is the only car i own. Currently ive always ran summer sport tires IE bridgestone protenzas for everything. my thinking is i have a set to daily drive on that will last a while and when i want to do fun stuff all just swap them out. im open to pretty much any thing and budget is about $700 a set but that should last atleast 60k miles. Currently with my spirited driving i can get about 30k out of summer tires.

Thanks!

Conti ECS or Michelin PS4S, 60k might be a challenge though. Firestone Indy 500 is a cheap alternative.

The Toyo's are fairly old tech, I wouldn't be surprised if the ECS or PS4S grip just as well/better.

I have no clue how anyone could stand driving a sports car on tires that last 60K miles....

I wouldn't opt for that. You want this daily commute to be enjoyable.

BFG Sport Comps would make an excellent DD tire for this car. They're better than stock in terms of grip...and they wear REALLY well. They're constructed like the stock tires...and they work in rain. And they're cheap.

... I don't think even think Prius tires can get you 60k miles...

What are you on man?

Yeah, instead of spending more on tires that last longer, instead just aim for tires that cost way less, but still perform decently.

I'm gonna assume a lot of those 60k miles are highway and cruising. A decent tire like the Firestone 500 might last near 30k miles in those conditions. So you have to replace twice, but they're cheap and still very decent for street.

This way you can still actually enjoy those 60k miles.

I cant remember for the life of me having any set of tires on any of the cars I owned lasting more than 60k miles.

I am Road only and I’m fully satisfied with my Conti ECS, best tire for the money IMO for the S2000 with the intention of spirited street driving.
