Replacing RS3v2 255/40/17
When I bought my car, the previous owner had Hankook RS3 v2 tires on it. He tracked it. I do not, but also don't really want to step down in grip since I'm used to driving with them. This car only gets driven in 60+ degree weather. Setup is 255/40/17 on all 4 corners.
Right now I'm considering:
Right now I'm considering:
- Hankook RS4 (Figure they will be similar to the RS3s) - learning towards this
- Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 (Cheapest)
- Bridgestone Pole Position S04

How do you use the car on those 60+ degree days?
If you aren't tracking it, you likely don't need RS4 levels of grip .... The S04 would probably be fine. I have the indy 500. Good cheap tire but i don't like the wallowy feel in the sidewall. If you are at all in tune with your cars you'd notice it coming from a 200tw.

It’s no 200TW but Continental Extreme contact sport has been a great tire for me. I would reccomend to anyone. Very grippy, handles water quite well and is cheaper than the Pilot sport 4s which is the closest comparative tire.

I'm in the same boat
I have RS3's in stock sizes on oem ap2v2's right now (still have plenty of life left)
Once my Advans come in, I want to go up to a 225 front and 255 rear, can't decide if I want to get RS4's or Indy 500's
It'll be mostly street driving
