RPF1 offset
I have a 2001 AP1 that I would like to get some wheels for. The car is 100% stock and i have no plans to lower it or anything like that. With that being said I was looking at the tire rack for some RPF1's but i noticed with there recommended reart offset its saying the tire will stick out past the fender. Can anyone give me some offsets that will keep the tires and wheel from sticking out?

RPF1 are a semi aggressive wheel that requires fender rolling to accommodate if you are to go with the traditional 8/9 +45 stagger. That would be the convex face front and concave rear wheel. These wheels transition the face from convex to concave at 9" wide and is typically the most desirable looking, particularly on the rear. I run the staggered combination of convex front which accommodates a BBK and the concave rear as shown in my screen shot for example. If you must have these wheels without worry of rolling and rubbing fenders, then you will be forced to run convex face all around with the 7 +48 fronts and 8 +45 rears. 215/245 tire stagger. I wouldn't do it myself. Id prefer to run a wider wheel with higher offsets. Enkei PF01 is a better fitting alternative with 8 +50/9 +60. good for 225/255 tires and no fenders mods. Tire rack has a good looking wheel TR3 that comes in 9 +62. Cheap and good looking/fitting. Only a couple pounds heavier then the rpf1 and still lighter then stock wheels.

Have you looked in the PF01SS?
Enkei makes a 17x9.0 +60 wheel which you can run square all the way around and fit your fenders nicely at stock height. |
The PF01SS looks like something that would be perfect. The car is always going to be a weekend/daily driver. I would just like a wheel with some good looks the I can run without any mods. Does that wheel come in gun metal by chance?

+1, if you ever plan on lowering and trying to run as much tire as you can, get a wide rim (9") with +60 or higher offsets. The TR3's are pretty common, that is what is on my car .. although you cant tell much from the pic in my profile. If you need a pic of it sitting still to see how they look let me know, but you can probably find a million pics online of an S2k with TR3's out there |

Another note, if you are on Tirerack and looking for 17x9's, for the car make/model they actually have an S2000 SCCA STR Class listed.
