I love my RT615k+'s in rain on track and street. the new + compound really made a difference. They also don't grease out like the old compound thru extended track sessions. even at places like CoTA.

I have yet to run RS4's so sadly I have no input other than guys at the track like the RS4.

RS4s wear like nails, plus I'd rather have a less expensive tire to shred on the track. If I'm going to be putting a lot of miles on a tire, I'd go RS4 over 615s

+1 on this. It has been my experience in that past as well. Hell I still have a set of RS3 V2's LOL

How are rs4's in the wet? I had multiple sets of rs3v2's and they were ok on the street in the wet but never tried them on wet track. I imagine the rs4's are probably the same. Anybody have specific feedback on rt615k+ in the wet on and off track as well?

RS4 tread design improved for wet weather, but even my RS3s in a downpour did okay.

Most extreme summers get good wet traction when the rubber is in its heat range, but its the hydroplaning resistance that they all suffer in. If your ok with compromising on this, then all good, pick your poison. I run extreme summers all year round. But I have a second vehicle to get me around when the weather goes totally south and that's probably a key element. I prefer to have the sharp great handling of an extreme summer tire on the S and I don't mind the great adhesion either, and am happy to trade off any compromises the rest of the year to get that. The argument of never seeing the benefit of an extreme summer on the street is a silly one to me. Forget the fun factor, you want shorter braking distance in an emergency? How about sudden maneuver/avoidance? Arguing for less dry grip because its not really needed, is like saying your 4" penis still does its job, so 6" is a waste.

I have extreme summer tires because I think they look cool.

I justify that thought by saying that they're better for braking & maneuvers but really I just think they look sweet.

Well there is nothing wrong with being a hard parker. Did you use a white paint pen on your sidewall lettering? I think that looks pretty cool too.

Just as an FYI, rt615k+ are fantastic in the rain on track. Drove in a decent amount of rain this weekend and great confidence under heavy braking.
