Default S-03s OEM on 2002??

Does anyone know if the S-03s are now the OEM tire for the S2000? I'm pretty sure (dont have the ad in front of me) that I saw Tire Rack had W rated S-03s in our OEM sizes?

(If I'm right) Can we assume these S-03's are the same size as our S-02s and order 225's for the rear?

KeithD,

1. Check the tread width on the S03's and compare to the S02's.

2. Even if the tread width of the S03's have a similar or close measurement to the S02's...I would still get 245/45/16 S03's for the stock wheels because they are not as sticky as the S02's.

I doubt it. Honda was still putting the Michelin XGT V4 on GS-Rs and Civics years after Michelin introduced the Pilot XGT V4 and stopped selling the old ones...

The S-02s for the S2000 were specially designed for it, which is why the Honda OE tires are not the same size as the S-02s (in the same nominal sizes) sold to everyone else. Maybe there will be Honda "special editions" of the S-03s, but I don't think so.

I wouldn't sweat it. S-02s are good tires. I wish I could get them for my car. But if I size down my wheels, I can get the S-03, which isn't bad.

I wouldn't be surprised if the '02 NSX had the S03's or an OEM version of it though. But the S2000 will probably stick (no pun intended) with the same tires till a redesign .

We don't show any thing happening with the S-03 being original equipment at this time.
