Default S2000 with Shelby Cobra style wheels?

Thoughts people...

Note, I LIKE retro things, I LIKE 60's and 70's style, and I don't care for Fast&Furious style. I can have these made to 17" x 7.0", +55 offset, 17" x 8.5", +65 offset, OR 16" x 7.0", +55 offset, 16" x 8.5", +65 offset pretty reasonably, like $1700 for a set of 4. I'm also considering the RS Watanebe 8 spoke style.

Yes, I know my photoshop skills aren't that great, the perspective and lighting is wrong on the wheels.

Go for the larger diameter. Ever seen a Cobra kit with the larger diameter wheels, low profile tires? Looks retro modern.

I think this could look interesting. The S has a mild resemblance to the Cobra.

I think it would look better without the knockoff center caps.

Agreed, definitely look better without the knockoffs. I'm also thinking about the RS Watanabe / Panasport wheels. The Watanebes look good on the Miatas.

This is a really crap photoshop job, but these are the best Watanabe pics I could find.

If you are going to have custom wheels made, might as well make the sizes/offsets better. Go with something like a 17x8+50 & 17x9+60. Will allow 225/255 tire setup, bring the wheels more flush with the outside of the car, and will not require any fender modification.

The Cobra wheels look too similar to the AP2V2 wheels for the money spent on them.

Damn, you're right. Once you factor in the huge positive offset required for our cars, the Cobra wheels do look a lot like the AP2V2 wheels.

This positive offset is so irritating, really eliminates a huge range of wheels that I really like.
