tire discounters has no good options
talked to a guy at tire discounters, asking for a 16 inch setup and he told me to call back in a few months because he has "no good options"
Does anyone know of an affordable option at 16inches. thanks

Affordable wheels that are the right offset for the s2k are VERY rare.
Lots of places may sell you wheels "that fit" when in fact they do not fit correctly (as in correct offsets).

this is what i've been running into, so it looks like i'll need to spend $2k for aftermarkets that fit properly or locate some used oem wheels. how much you think these will run me?

If you are looking for a good value in a performance tire I would recommend the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 at 72.00 front and 80.00 rear. Another option with better dry traction is the Dunlop SP8000 at 94.00 front and 91.00 rear.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

I don't own an S2k but I think I can help save you some $$$ in your wheel-shopping endeavor. I own a 97 Acura 2.2 CL that I have just crowned w/ a new wheel by Konig called Imagine. It's a really sporty, yet classy mesh-type wheels. You can view the wheel on Konigwheels.com under the Limited Edition Wheels section. They are 18x7.5s wrapped in 225/40-18 Yokohoma Paradas, and they look awesome! I wanted 8inches in the rear to achieve that staggered stance, but they would rub. (I did plenty of research, as should everyone). But my point is that I only paid $1700 for the entire set, mounting, balancing, and Gorilla Locks. The surprising part is that I bought them from Discount Tire here in Houston, Tx. The whole setup was originally around$1815, but I told the salesman my budget, and he tailored the package accordingly. Prime example of how money talks and, well, you know the rest.
Good Luck, Bro
P.S. I will post photos as soon as they are developed.

Okay, okay. So I am not fully awake this early in the morning. OSU S2k was inquiring about OEM wheels for the S2k, and I replied referencing my good fortune in striking a deal on some aftermarkets. I do apologize, however I do hope that my info was somewhat helpful to someone out there. I'll try to be more attentive in the future
