Tire/rims size for lowered ap1 with BBK
#11
Hey guys, let me revise the question a little. I understand wanting a square setup is really limiting my options so let' try this:
Minimum 225 upfront and 255 in the rear. Still want to be able to run the big brake kit (preferably Wilwood).
That should open my options a little more.
After doing some research these last few days I found that the ap2 v3 wheels will be a good contender. I heard that with a 5mm spacer you can clear the Wilwood brakes.

I'm running the 8-225/9-255 stagger. I agree that 225 would be the way to go on the 8in wheel. Overall I really like the setup, but as previously stated, I'm not a huge fan of the convex on the 8in RPF1s (especially in SBC).

Is it this one? Wilwood High Performance Disc Brakes - Front Brake Kit Product Number: 140-10309

I ran 17x10 +50 advan RS2's with my ap racing BBK on 255 ad08r squared and it cleared without a problem. That was with a pull on all 4 corners.
I actually am about to put the rims and tires up for sale. PM me if you're interested.

Which Wilwood bbk would clear these wheels? I haven't found a single kit that fits without some spacers.

The 8.5 +40 will accommodate any BBK on the market with typical 17"/325"-328"mm kit. You can run a 225 235 or 245 tire on this wheel up front. The 245 will require a little pull. Run the 9 +45 in the rear.
