For those of you who are still running on the street with a stockish staggered set up with 16" wheels (OEM or JDM) on your S, what tires are you running these days? There is an old thread on this topic (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/wheels-t...-871183/page3/) but time has gone by and some of it is out of date.

I'm on Hankook RS3s in stock AP1 sizes, would go with RS4s or ZII *spec if I had to buy tires today.
For winter I've been runnin Dunlop WinterSports with taller aspect ratios (205/60-16 & 225/55-16).

I just bought Continental Extreme contactsport - the new one out this year- in AP1 sizing. I've typically ONLY bought 200 UTQG till this set. In a nutshell, they are really excellent. If you want my review by video, here is the link.

Quite a trip to buy tires!
It looks like these Continentals are the only way to go for max performance tires on the ap1 wheels. I wish the rear tread was wider to more closely approximate the OEM stagger. Do you notice any problems in that regard for street driving?

The effects of stagger on handling balance on the street are pretty minimal in my experience running 205/225, 225/245, and 205/245 on the S2k, and also running 255/265, 255/275, 245/275, and 235/275 on my LS3 FD RX-7.
You are totally fine running stock tire sizes even if tread widths and tread width stagger differs from the OEM tires. I've been streeting and tracking on various different 205/225 street tires for 10 years now, it is no big deal...
Alignment settings are *way* more critical for handling balance and linearity/predictability.

I have an aggressive street alignment- basically near maximum camber that the factory equipment allows with 1/4 inch rear toe. I really like the alignment settings- its kinda like the UK alignment.
