Tire size for 17x9 +45 with no fender work?
Need help with tire size for 17x9 +45 wheel, thinking about 245 40 17 or 255 all around, dont want roll or modify fenders any suggestions???

You could do a 245 in the back with good amount of camber -2.5 range. A 225 would be the narrowest tire you would want to mate with a 9" and that package would still be too aggressive for the front without rolling. Either roll the fenders up front or go with the 8 +45. And a 215.

My suggestion would be to have the fenders rolled before they are damaged. Better safe than sorry.
Generally, I don't believe a 17x9+45 will fit up front without a fender roll, especially with a 245 or 255 width tire. Even at stock height.

Edit: Yep, what Junky said.

The rear can have a 245 or 255. Fronts should be rolled even at stock hieght. That is a much more aggressive wheel than OEM in front and it could cause problems. There is still enough flex in the suspension that it could contact the fender when turned and with that much more aggressive of a wheel it is much more likely.

what kind of tires are you running on this setup?
what are you going for...Track performance….Daily Driving….Hella flush, hella tucked?
what are you current alignment settings?
In my experience on an 05 ap2 with oem and KW clubsport coil overs + track alignment (-2.4 camber) + 255 Direzza Star Spec z1 or 255 Hankook RS3, the rear fender definitely needs to be rolled and tab relocated. This was for a car that was to be driven on the track. However, even when daily driven on our NorCal 3rd world freeway system, if you hit a big enough dip/imperfection it would rub
Same care with a 17x8 +45 225 Direzza z1 or 225 hankook rs3, same problem, rubbing everywhere, actually in one instance driving up a mountain of an incline into a shopping center it even pulled out the front right fender slightly.
My advice, don't do it, but if you are:
Camber Joints (SPC to pull the top control arm in)
Alignment for maximum camber
slight fender roll up front
relocate the tab and slight fender roll in the rear

if you are lowered you need to roll all of them and relo the tabs. Rears should be ok with near oem camber but front will need more.
