Tire size help! 17x8+45 front and 17x9+45 rear
Hi guys,
I don't want to compromise handling too much, but this is mainly a daily driver.
From my research a good staggered setup for my 17x8+45 fronts and 17x9+45 rears is 225/45 and 255/40. (Know if I need to roll fenders even if it's stock suspension?)
How about 235/45 and 245/40? Or will this compromise handling too much?
I have an AP1 and just got the RPF1's yesterday.
Thanks so much for any responses!!

There were RPF1 wheels on my car when I bought it 3 summers ago and the rims were 7" front and 8" rear (45mm offsets) so I know these fit, not sure about wider rims. Stock size tires (215 and 245). Pretty sure you'll need to bugger the bodywork with your rim widths and offsets.
Earlier cars have more built-in oversteer than later cars and a 235 front tire will acerbate this issue unless you fit 255 on the rear. OEM sizes are 215 and 245 (255 CR spec). A lot of guys seem to be running 225 in front with out reported issues. I ran 215 and 245 Bridgestone RE-11A tires on OEM wheels until a year ago when I went to 215 and 255 and Bridgestone S-04 tires. Happy with either setup. The RPF1 wheels went to a good home.

Roll fenders relo tabs and yes I would still do it at stock height. Odd tire size choices. I would do 225/45/17 and 255/40/17. 215/45/17 is fine for the front as well.
