Tire size ok? (ap1 wheels)
Hello there,
Is it ok if I run 205/50front & 225/50rear on my 01 s2000 with ap1 wheels? I know the oem spec's are 205/55 front & 225/50 rear ... But im also trying to get some skunk2 springs and I kinda dont like the 55 in the front. What do you guy's think?
Thanks In Advance.

You don't like the sidewall height? The 225/50/16 has the same sidewall height......
If you are not on the original tires, your rears have already lost 20mm in rear contact patch. Then you would be adding 20mm to the front. Some people do run square setups, but if you do not have a good amount of experience in driving this sort of aggressive setup it is a recipe for a nasty crash (oversteer city).
225 is possible to fit on a 6.5 wide wheel, but you will have some tire bulge and loose steering responsiveness.

Those sizes you list are all messed up. The OE tires are 205/55R16 front and 225/50R16 rear. I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish but the sizes you mention do not work.

I just re-read the posts and realized I misread your original post and didn't realize you had unusually small tires on the front. I'm glad you got it figured out though. The stock sizes should look just fine.
