I bought the new tire last two month and this month my urface tire almost gone so any idea why this happen i'm wondering about the tire pressure. I'm i put too much air pressure in the tire I have the 255/35/18 for the rear and put the pressure to 36psi should i put only 32psi to make it better to worn out the tire.

Even if you have an 18" wheel and tire you would still run your factory recommended air pressures. If the tire is worn out in 2 months you either drove alot of miles or you drove the car extremely hard. Even with too much air pressure the tires should not wear out that fast.

If you run higher air pressure the tires will wear in the middle and the wheel will be more likely to bend. With more air in the tire the tire will be stiff and the wheel will absorb all the hit.

Jim - I thought that proper, or even high inflation helps to protect the rim from damage. E.g. the tire will collapse and the rim will take a hit when the tire pressure is low and you hit a pothole. Are you suggesting that high tire pressures transmit more of the force of a hit to the rim in one particular place? I thought that the impact force would be spread around the rim if the tire was properly inflated, or even inflated a little on the high side.

I recommended proper inflation but not overinflation. When the tire is overinflated the wheel absorbs the hit and the tire does not deflect the hit.
