Default Tire Wear

I just had new tires put on the car. Fronts lasted about 21,000 but an examination of them revealed that the insides were extremely worn and the middle and outsides still had some tread left. The rears lasted about 11,000 but seem to wear evenly. This seems to be opposite of what most drivers are experiencing on this board. Should I have the car aligned?

if the car handles well balanced, live with the wear and do a rotation of the tires (requires dismount of the two fronts and changing from side to side) when you notice wear on the new ones in the front. I'd check every 2-3K miles depending on your driving style.

Reducing the front camber will eliminate, or come close to eliminating, your excessive inner tire wear - however, the handling will suffer and not be fully balanced. So, my recommendation is - leave it, but get an alignment if you feel the car is unbalanced or pulls to one side.

Excessive tire wear will happen and I'm very surprised you got that many miles out of the fronts. (mine went at half that) Its a sports car, so you must expect certain characteristics that aren't like other sedans.

If you have the S02's, they are mono-directional. You CANNOT switch them from side to side. There are arrows molded on the sidewalls indicating the direction they can rotate. The only way I can imagine side to side rotation would be to dismount the tire from the wheel and reverse it first.
