Default Volk CE28N 18x8.5 +52 Square?

So I've found a square set of Volk CE28N wheels for sale locally that I'm very interested in, but I have some concern with respect to fitment. I've done some searching and this size (18x8.5 +52 offset) is just outside of the fitment guide for the front of the car. Any opinions on whether this setup would be a good option and fit without any fender mods whatsoever? I'm 100% stock everything with no desire to lower/roll/pull/relocate. The tires on the set are in need of replacement and they are likely the wrong size as they were on a STI before. Suggestions on proper tire size would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance!

At stock height it should be ok. If you lower the front will be an increased risk. As for tire sizes you have a few options. You could do a 225/40/18 front paired with either a 245/35/18 or 255/35/18 rear (Pretty sure the 255 would still fit the rear at stock height). Or you could run 245/35/18 all around. This may be risky on the front however even at stock height.

Thanks for the quick reply! Is this rim in a 18 inch size too large for the car...especially the front? I know that 17's are ideal. Maybe it would look funny sitting at stock height with a 18 inch set?

18" is fine. I would go with 245/35/18 all around.
My track wheel setup is 17x8.5+49. I ran 245/40/17 and am lowered maybe 1.25" lower than factory. I do have my front fender liner tabs pushed up and the fender liner trimmed though (no change to outward line of fender). I did that for my 17x9+55 wheels (255/40/17) so I can't say for certain if it is needed.

Derp. Totally missed the 18 thing so my tire sizes are off. 18's are fine on the car.
