Oats

I have some AP1 wheels in terrible shape (winter wheels/road salt) that I want to refinish. I don't have an S2k anymore so I'll just be selling them afterwards. This will be practice for refinishing the wheels on my RX-8. I have some ideas but not sure which to go with.

1. Stock looking, silver inset with polished face
2. Black inset with polished face (this is what I would do if I still had my S2k)
3. Gold/Bronze. I don't like bright gold or dark bronze so something between (this is what I want to paint my RX-8 wheels)
4. Gunmetal
5. Black

well in the interest of your main goal I would just practice the color you wanted to do for your rx-8. But if you want the easiest to sell option stock looking would be best.

They won't be worth much, even refinished. Hardly anyone buys AP1 wheels. I've seen some creative usage on things like CR-Vs or Preludes, though.

Yeah I think I paid $100 for them when they were in decent shape. If I get that much back I will be happy.
