Default What size tire to replace the 02's

I have the Bridgestone's O2's on my care now. I need to replace them and have been looking at the Kumo's. As I look at the tread width of the 225/50 16's it appears that they are narrower that the Bridgestone's. Would it be possible to go to 245/45 16?

sonne,

Great job with your research bud.

Yes...245/45/16 is the better size to go if you are not running the stock S02's. I know plenty of people who have done so with street tires (pole position S02's) and race tires (toyo ra-1).

Keep the front 205/55/16 though.

Phantom is correct the 245/45R16 will work fine on the car. The Kumho will not be nearly as good as the S-02 in handling. There are an excellent wet traction tire and they are quiet and smooth and you will get good mileage but they are average in dry traction.. If you are more aggressive I think there are better tires.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
