Jim from tire rack doesn't sell what doesn't move off the shelf.

18x10.5+15 in 114.3 PCD with 73mm Hub bore
would work well on a wide body S2k like Js or the like

Appears you CAN get 18x10.5+15 in black. from amazon
285/30/18 all around? i think thats the correct size and aspect ratio for near ap2 rear rolling diameters. Manga Spawn and Junky could chime in and tell you more. but this is the 10.5+15 with 285/30 vs the stock 255/40/17 on CRs
its 25mm further away from the strut and 75.4 mm more aggressive on the fender side. or just under 3 inches.
EDIT: if 10.5 all around is too aggressive, go with an 18x10+38 up front in black. 265/35/18. That would be a gold star award for meaty fitment

Are you serious? Even a 9.5" +38 with a 255 tire is a challenge on stock fenders. This is 265/35 on 18 x 9.5" +45, yours would stick out additional 40mm:

im currently running 17x7.5 rpf1's up front and 17x8 in the back , would i be able to use the 18x10.5 in the rear while still running the 17x7.5's in the front or would it look stupid cause the 18 rpf1's are inverted and the 17's are not ? would it screw up the speedo ? i know vettes and vipers use larger wheels in the back , would this work for s2k ?
ohhh Whoops, i didn't realize you were OP. i thought you were a different user.
nah man 17X9+45 is the way to go with 255. 10.5+15 is wide body territory. think amuse or J's wide body.
a 10.5 doesnt fit an s2000 until +50 offset or higher. you need to run the 17x9+45 everyone keeps recommending. 18"s are more work. Some people have done the double staggered set up s2ks.
17x9+45 and 18x9.5+45 on the back. this will take fender work though.
