It is your call. It isn't a huge concern since the rim width for 245 usually lists 8 inch as the narrowest. My recommendation stands for AP2 OEM wheels or wheels that are very close to those specs and AP2 OEM tire sizes.
According to the "What Fits?" section of OP, a 255 width tire will fit on the rear with a +53 offset wheel. How low can the suspension go with that kind of spec? I'm looking to order custom wheels and lower the car on Eibach Pro-Kit Springs (so about 1" lower). Will +53 clear the fender without rolling? Should I go closer to +60?
It also depends on the width of the wheel. A +53 on a 8.5 inch wide wheel is different than on a 10 inch wide wheel. If you do 9's then I would go higher. If 8.5 you are likely ok with the +53. What is your oplan for the front? There is a higher likelyhood that will be more of an issue than the rear with aftermarket wheels and a lowered car.
For the back, it'll be a 17x9 on 255, so I might just go with +55 to be safe.
The plan for the front is 17x8 on a 225 at +50 offset, same as the Enkei PF01. I've read that they don't have issues, even lower than 1 inch, and 1 inch is where I want to draw the line.
Yeah it is just something to keep an eye on. Be careful doing in and out of driveways or anywhere where the suspension is compressed and the wheels are turned.
