I have a bone stock AP1 that I was looking at getting some new wheels for. Ive read almost everything I could find around here and was pretty set in my wheel options based on what I have read here. So today I was looking on the TireRack and they are recommending wheels with a 45 offset front and rear. I thought that was a strong no no for our cars? If anyone would care to shed some light on this I would appreciate it.

Are you going 17x9? If so, then don't do it unless you want to roll your fenders and possibly relocate your rear bumper tabs (with proper fitting tyres).

It really depends on type / size and tyre choice which you might want to provide.

What is the width on the wheels? Generally yes 45 is to low without rolled fenders and relocated tabs but it all depends on the width.

I just rolled my fender on 17x9 with +48 offset. 17x8 with +45 maybe but 17x9 you need to roll your fender for sure. I think you need +55 or more. Oh I run 245 all 4.

Got it, It looks like they were recommending a 17x8 45 all around. Im guessing this is not the most optimal setup?

Let me add to this by saying this will 100% be a street car with zero track use. Not sure if that factors into if that is still an ok setup or not.

It is not optimal. Use the OEM ap2 sizing as a bench mark. From both a looks and performance standpoint doing 17x8 all around is not ideal.

I was thinking of running RPF1's 17x8/17x9 stock suspension 100% street car.

At stock height its going to look odd and may still need a roll. If you lower it at all you'll need a roll for sure.
