The problem with a high offset like +60 is that most wheels with this offset:
* Will not clear any after market clalipers like the Spoons, Stop Tech, AP, Performance Friction, Brembo.
* If you want to run nonstaggered 255x40x17 they will rub on the inside. There is some variation depending of the tire size and brand.

I just saw these on Tire Rack. $1096 for a set of 17x9 in silver $92 more for black. Any word on weight?
Edit: Just did some ricer-math. The 17x7s weigh 15.8 lbs. The 17x8s weigh 17 lbs. By ricer-math, adding an inch of material to widen the wheel adds 1.2 lbs, so the 17x9's should be 18.2 lbs

they're +63 offset and he's using a 10mm spacer to clear the brakes.

Hopefully they will be lighter than that. The TSW Nurburgrings that I have been using are 17x9 63mm and will fit over Stoptech calipers (due to the spoke design). They weigh about 18.2lbs too. I guess on some level I like the look of the Enkies better but the TSWs cost about ~$200 a wheel.

Woah woah woah...according to Enkei's site there is a stark difference between the PF01s and the "PF01Rs" (assuming they exist outside of the drawing board)...there are no PF01s that will fit an S without some fender work or stretched tires and they only come in 8.5"...not 9": http://enkei.com/size_chart/PF01.pdf
Specs on the PF01s are
17x8.5 +40
or
18x9 +45

Will do man, should have them next week? Hankook Rs3 225's and 255's
Which, for me, brings up an interesting question.
Are there any differences in handling characteristics if you have a 225 on the front with a 8" rim vs a 9" rim?
It'll be a slight stretch but nothing crazy. Rs3's are a little beefy too, so it won't even look stretched. I don't think you'll notice to much of a diff with a 8 or 9 depending on the tire size. A 225 fits well on either size.
Jim called and my wheels shipped out today, so pumped. Just need a Amuse front bumper now.

Thank You Manga_Spawn The PF01 is one of the wheels I'm looking at. I've read through all the posts I've found over the past couple months but it is very helpful to others to have the information congregated in one spot
