Winter Storage and Tire Pressure

Winter Storage and Tire Pressure
So i went to check on my s2k in my garage a few days ago to notice that my tires were loosing pressure by the looks of it. Car is not on jack stands, just simply parked on tires. Prior to storing i made sure tire pressure was ~35 psi.
I Went ahead and bought a 12 Volt Power converter so i can pump some air through house outlet without having to start the car. Tire compressor works fine, but the moment i try to pump air, it doesn't work. It just makes a weird grinding noise (the tire compressor), and pressure reads 32 psi. Can i not pump air in the winter due to the cold (due to cold pressure in tires)? I don't want to let the tires go any lower, might damage the rims.

You can also damage the tires. I would be a little more worried about the tires sitting for 4 months. I think you may end up with flat spots. I have no idea why the compressor wont work.
