Went with Dunlop Winter Sport M3, ranked highest on tirerack.
It's the only brand that manufactures 245/40/17 winter performance tires. I've found 2x215/45 (standing right next to me as I type), and the other 2x245/40 should arrive in a few weeks.

So why'd you get snow tires again?

Dunlop Wintersport M3's here too. My s2k is a daily driver and while it doesn't snow much in my area, I do drive in lots of cold rainy conditions with occasional ice. The OEM RE050's seriously suck in those conditions and the M3's have been excellent.

I am on my second winter with these and would get them again in a heartbeat. FWIW I bought these with the ASA rims so I can just swap them out once the weather warms up. I do not use the M3's from spring through early fall.

same here. great tires...i wish i would've bought a set of rims specifically for them, but oh well. i had to drive through a week of weird 60-degree weather in chicago before it dropped to like 20 with 12" of snow.

If you're not driving in snow the LM22's will wear quickly. Lucky to get 10k out of the rears. I run 225/45-16's all around so I can rotate front to rear to save a little cash.

Not true, I ran my LM-22's all summer. Although they were a little mushy I pumped them to 40psi and they were really good especially in the rain. It's a H rated tire good at high speed. So now after 23k miles I've just replaced the rears. These lasted longer than my S02's.
