Winter tires: Do you stagger sizes?
Just wondering if you guys stick with the 205/225's or 205's all around? I'm thinking of just going 205's on all four tires. Any thoughts?
And, a sidenote, the search function on s2ki is the worst, by far.

Stagger your winter tires, too. 205 front and 225 back. The 225's will already be a bit narrower than your OEM SO2s, so this will work fine.
You can't rely on the whole winter being snow covered roads. There will be times when you will drive on dry roads and with the same size tire on all 4 corners, the car will be unstable.

Sure, 205s on all four corners will work fine as long as you take it easy. Of course, if you find yourself in an accident avoidance situation (that might NOT have been caused by you), those 205s are going to rear their ugly head in the form of some unexpected oversteer. So it's a risk that only you can decide if you want to take.

I would say if you live in a serious snow belt the 205 on all four corners would be a good thing. Otherwise I would go with the 205/55R16 and 225/50R16 just like stock. If I can help let me know.

Call me if I can help with the snow tires. We do already have some packages listed on the site but we do not have a lot of wheels.

I do live in a snowy area (Utah). The plow system is good, but there are days where I have to slush through snow before they can get to my streets. Snow tires are a definate must. From what you guys are saying, 205's in the rear would be good if I'm going through snow, but 225 would be better if I'm on dry road. Correct? Since I'm on dry road most of the time, 225's would work better for me? Thanks.

I just spoke to Jim yesterday and ordered the winter tire and wheel package he described. It seems like the best combo to get me and the car through our first winter together. Edited to add: I chose the Blizzak WS-50's. I live in a hilly area in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. And the hills lead to the mountains
