Default Woes on width & offset

Good day guys!

I intend to change wheels to either the Volk Racing RE30 or Advan RS in 17" or 18" (depending on the availability).

I will require them to clear calipers without the use of wheel spacers (+43 offset) at the front and fit on 225 width tires (seem impossible according to the thread on wheel fitment guide) with 255 width tires at the rear.

I would want them to be as close to the factory specifications, if possible.

Hope to have your kind inputs & advice on my wheel purchase woes!

Thanks in advance!

P.S Please don't flame me for assuming that I did not use the "search" function. I did, but after days of looking up threads and browsing through dozen pages long of threads' content, I believe it be better for me to seek advice from fellow mates on my requirements directly

What width car you looking at for the +43? I assume 8 or 9 inch wide. You will need to roll the fenders and if you do it will allow you to run a 245 or 255 in the rear instead of a 225 which is really narrow. Also if you are looking at staying with 225-255 width tires I would go with 17's since 18's only increase cost (of both tires and wheels) and weight.

Thank you for your reply, appreciate it as I was awaiting advice since I posted this thread.

My bad, there was a typo on the width of the rear tire, it should be 255 instead. I am prepared to roll my fenders with minimum camber for both the front & rear.
I have decided to go 17" with offset +43 for the front wheel but unsure of the recommended width to be used to fit 225 tires.
Also, the width and offset for the rear to fit 255 tires.

Are you able to advice me further?
Thanks in advance!

Your choice of tyre will have an impact here as well. At a minimum, roll your fenders and do bumper tab relocation for rear.

Be cautious around fitment on the front with such a low offset.

Are you lowered and by how much? You should be able to have -2 rear camber on 255 without much issue near stock ride height.

Yeah roll fenders relocate tabs. Front I would say 8 inch wide and 9 inch wide for the rear.

Thank you for your reply and advice man!

I intend to go Ohlins with 1.5 - 2 fingers space at the front due to my front CR lip and 2 - 2.5 at the rear.

What is your suggested wheel width for the front, and width and offset for the rear for my intended tire specifications?

Definitely, I shall do that.

What do you advice for the offset of the wheels with 9" width for the rear to fit 255 tires?

If you do a 9" wide front, you'll need a lot of camber even with a 225. So if you're stuck with a +43 offset, I'd be inclined to go with the 8" wheel.

Rear 17x9 +45 or even +43 would be fine with the fender mods.

Thank you for your advice!

You've affirmed my decision to go for the front wheels with specifications: 17 x 8 Offset +43.

Cheers!
